Anti-Individualist Reading Club is an informal initiative started in the fall of 2022 by Yana Deliyska and Zuz Wilkirska. We (couple of friends) meet at each other’s homes (or at the art center Skogen in Gothenburg) to read texts loosely connected with collectivity (or, critical towards established values and systems of western culture... or just texts that were important to us)
When we meet, we cook and gossip first - to preserve and protect the space for actual life and our everydayness. Then we read together a rext that one of the members brings, and then discuss. There’s no homework. The main principle shaping the (flexible) structure of the club is: that it should give us energy, rather than consume it.
